CARDAMOM

Cardamom shaped by origin, precision, and patience

Our cardamom project is built on the same principles as specialty coffee: precision harvesting, micro-lot origins, and uncompromising quality control. We work with experienced pickers—many of whom are trained specialty coffee harvesters—who understand ripeness, timing, and gentle handling.

Only fully mature, ripe pods are selected. This ensures maximum aroma, higher essential oil content, and a clean, vibrant flavour profile.

Long-Term by Design

A project meant to grow responsibly

This cardamom initiative is designed to scale carefully—without compromising quality or integrity. Through knowledge sharing, reinvestment, and long-term collaboration with growers, we aim to build a stable supply of high-quality Colombian cardamom for the Nordic market and beyond.

It is a project defined by patience, partnership, and purpose.

A Project Rooted in Origin

Not a commodity — a cultivated collaboration

The cardamom project is built from the ground up in Colombia, shaped by landscape, climate, and people. Rather than sourcing through anonymous supply chains, we work directly in selected regions to develop cardamom as a specialty product—defined by origin, harvest precision, and post-harvest care.

This approach allows us to focus on quality before volume, and on long-term partnerships rather than short-term trade.

Freshness at the Core

Closer to origin, closer to flavour

Our focus on small batches and local processing means the cardamom reaches the market with exceptional freshness. Reduced handling, fewer intermediaries, and careful storage ensure that aroma, colour, and essential oils are preserved from field to final delivery.

Freshness is not an add-on—it is the foundation of quality.

Harvested Like Specialty Coffee

Precision picking makes the difference

Our cardamom is hand-picked by experienced agricultural workers, many of whom are trained specialty coffee pickers. They harvest only pods that are fully ripe and ready—ensuring optimal essential oil content, aroma, and flavour development.

Selective harvesting reduces waste, improves consistency, and preserves the natural character of the spice.

Sustainability as a Working Practice

Built into the project, not added later

Sustainability in this project is practical and measurable. We invest in efficiency improvements, better post-harvest infrastructure, and agronomic practices that support soil health and biodiversity.

Selected development tracks are progressing toward full organic certification, while all projects follow responsible cultivation and resource-use principles.
